Coway (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is committed to ensure the integrity of the production of all water purifier products and its accessories are Halal certified by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) in accordance with the Halal Assurance System (HAS) standards and the Islamic Syariah Law requirements.

Consumers can rest assured that all parts of the machine including its filters have been Halal Certified by JAKIM. Our state-of-art technology and innovative design has also been recognised by the Water Quality Association (WQA) and Asia Halal Brand Awards.
We’ve Come A Long Way To Deliver Halal-certified Water Purifiers
Halal Control Points (HCPs) are identified at the point where there is potential cross-contamination with any non-halal elements along the process flow in the scope of implementation. Control measures will be implemented at identified HCP to eliminate any non-compliance to the Sharia requirements and HAS implementation.
The identification of a list of approved Halal raw materials and certified suppliers.
Strictly adhering to Halal control measures in the production line of water filters, water purifiers and its accessories.
All equipment and other related items in the production line are Halal and free from non-halal elements.
All halal related workforce has adequate competence in the implementation of HAS within the organisation.
Logistic Control Manager will ensure that the products stored in the approved vendor’s warehouse are free from non-halal elements.
Product Quality Assurance and Quality Control team will ensure that all products to be delivered to Malaysia are according to the halal requirements.
Ensuring Consistency
Coway’s Internal Halal Committee (IHC) is held responsible for all matters pertaining to Halal compliance in the supply chain, from materials selection, purchasing, raw materials receiving, manufacturing facilities and personnel directly involved in production processes, to the storage and warehousing of our products. The halal committee assess and manage operations to be consistently in compliance with relevant applicable standards.
