Located in Yugu-eup, Chungcheongnam-do, Coway’s Quality Management Institute has been giving the highest priority to securing the reliability in the design process from R&D planning to DPP with 45 engineers since the establishment in 1994 in order to attain the reliability level suitable for the world’s best company. As the result, the institute was appointed as the Organization for Testing and Certification by KOLAS in 2003, by NEMKO TBM which is the Europe/IEC certification organization in 2004, by KTL TLP which is the certification organization for electric safety in 2005, and by UL WTDP which is the certification organization for America and Canada in 2006.

Reliability Assurance

Test reliability of developed or mass produced products / parts
• Test product safety
• Inspect the conformity of domestic and foreign products and parts to the safety standards
• Network with outside research institutes
• Develop a network with nation's top research institutes, strengthen research capacity and reduce lead-time for verification

System Innovation
• Integrate quality / environment systems and develop a system to cope with restrictions on export

Quality Assurance System (Q-way)
• 3 outside quality experts make comprehensive and objective evaluation of the quality level
• Push forward continuous improvement through quality assurance system evaluation, twice a year

NEMKO, located in Oslo, Norway, is an international standards certification organization providing certification related test, inspection and approval services for electric / electronic products, machineries and systems through offices in England, Germany, Italy, America, Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan and Spain.

UL
Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is an independent international nonprofit organization that has provided the product safety standards development and certification service for over 110 years since the establishment in 1894. The organization carries out safety certification, the after management for the safety certification, and the certification of management system in accordance with international standards. UL mark is recognized as the product safety standards by consumers in America and around the world based on high brand awareness and reliability.
